WinAir wins big at London Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards — aviation management software vendor takes home coveted “Business of the Year” award at annual awards ceremony

London, Ontario, Canada – March 22, 2018 – Worldwide leader in aviation maintenance software, WinAir, is thrilled to announce that the company has been chosen as the winner of the London Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year award. Last night, WinAir was presented with the award during the London Business Achievement Awards gala celebration. Members of the WinAir team who were in attendance at the event were overjoyed to hear WinAir’s name announced from the podium as the winner in their class.
WinAir Commercial Manager, Kyle Vergeer, accepted the award on behalf of the company. During his speech, Kyle expressed his gratitude to the business community for having recognized WinAir as the recipient the Business of the Year award. He also described the company’s commitment and devotion to its team and clientele. In addition to the award being a monumental occasion for WinAir’s ownership and its employees, WinAir’s win in the Business of the Year category marks the first time an aviation management software company has received this designation. Not only that, but it is also the first time that a company from the aviation industry has been bestowed this award.

The London Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards is a yearly event that aims to shine the spotlight on the achievements of businesses from London, Ontario, and surrounding areas. It is considered to be Canada’s most prestigious business awards gala and the largest celebration of its kind. The event has consistently outmatched similar awards ceremonies held in other major Canadian cities. This year’s black-tie event drew a crowd of more than 1,200 attendees to the London Convention Centre.
Other winners of the London Business Achievement Awards’ Business of the Year Award included Bentley Hearing Services, who took home the prize for Small Business of the Year, and Northern Commerce, who won the award for Large Business of the Year.
Also recognized at this year’s gala were Gray Ridge Egg Farms, winner of the Agribusiness Award, Armatec Survivability, winner of the Beyond Borders Award, KPMG, winner of the Corporate Social Responsibility Award, 3M Canada, winner of the Environmental Leadership Award, Diebold Nixdorf, winner of the Excellence in Human Resources Award, Canadian Centre for Product Validation, winner of the Innovation Award, and Jones Packaging, winner of the Corporate Icon Award.
