WinAir Nominated for London Business Achievement Award

WinAir nominated for London Business Achievement Award (LBAA) — aviation management software vendor shortlisted as a finalist for local business award in the medium-sized “Business of the Year” category

Company eagerly anticipates the awards gala celebration and looks forward to the prospect of being recognized by the London business community as the winner in their class

London, Ontario, Canada – January 25, 2018 – Global leader in aviation management software, WinAir, is honored to announce that the company has been selected as a finalist for the London Business Achievement Awards’ (LBAA) Business of the Year award, in the medium-sized business category. On March 21st 2018, members of the WinAir team will attend the LBAA gala celebration at the London Convention Centre in London, Ontario, Canada. This year’s awards gala will mark the 35th installment of the annual event, which is presented by the London Chamber of Commerce and recognizes outstanding businesses from within the region.

Frequently referred to as the “Academy Awards” for business achievement in the London business community, the LBAA showcases the business achievements of London-based organizations in a variety of categories including: human resources, innovation, environmental leadership, corporate social responsibility, and business of the year (small, medium, and large). In order to qualify for an LBAA award, companies must be nominated by an external, third party individual. Thereafter, companies are required to develop and submit a comprehensive application package, which is vetted by an awards judging panel. Once a list of finalists is determined, this judging panel participates in a series of onsite tours at finalist locations.

“We are absolutely ecstatic to be listed as a finalist for the Business of the Year award,” said Kyle Vergeer, Commercial Manager at WinAir. “Having recently released WinAir Version 7 to national and international praise, it is fantastic to receive recognition from the local business community. Our entire team is extremely thankful to be acknowledged as a finalist for such a prestigious award and we extend our congratulations to all the other companies that were nominated.”

Each year, the LBAA draws over 1,200 attendees for their black-tie awards celebration—from members of the local business community, to media representatives, and the general public at large. The Business of the Year award is considered to be the showpiece award that is presented during the night’s celebration. Previous winners in this category include Voices.com, a voice talent provider, Big Blue Bubble, a mobile game developer, and 3M Canada, a global manufacturing company.

WinAir’s nomination for the 2018 Business of the Year award couldn’t have come at a better time—this year marks the company’s 30th anniversary, which makes the nomination and the business community recognition that much more special.
