Growing Together: 20 Years of Voyageur Aviation and WinAir
“We’ve grown up together,” said Sharon Campbell, Director, Commercial Compliance & Operational Systems at Voyageur Aviation Corp., reflecting on the organization’s longstanding relationship with WinAir.
For more than two decades, Voyageur has partnered with WinAir through continuous growth, transformation, and innovation. What began as a software decision has evolved into a deeply integrated relationship – one that has delivered meaningful, day-to-day operational impact. From improved access to critical information to increased aircraft availability and real-time system capabilities, WinAir has become a key enabler of Voyageur’s global operations.
Based out of North Bay, Ontario, Voyageur provides specialized solutions to customers with unique aviation requirements – delivering on defence and government programs, comprehensive maintenance services, advanced engineering, provisioning of aircraft parts and major components, and contract flying for special mission operations.
As Voyageur expanded its operational scope, the need for a scalable, reliable aviation management system became essential. Choosing WinAir was a strategic step forward – one that would support not only their current needs, but their long-term vision.
Over the past 20 years, the partnership has been built on trust, responsiveness, and a shared commitment to progress. With WinAir’s support, Voyageur has strengthened its ability to operate on a global scale while maintaining centralized, accessible records – enabling seamless, 24/7 operations across time zones.
To support evolving client needs, WinAir continues to grow alongside its customers. “WinAir is always looking to innovate, do it better, and change it – you’re moving it forward,” Sharon adds.
This commitment is reflected in ongoing training and collaboration. Recently, Voyageur spent three days at WinAir’s campus, working closely with the team to further optimize how they use the software. These sessions not only empower Voyageur and many other clients to maximize system value, but also provide WinAir with direct feedback – fueling continuous improvement and helping shape the future of the platform.
“Much like Voyageur’s operations have evolved over the years, WinAir has made a point of listening and adapting so we continue to fit naturally into their day-to-day business,” said Daryl Gilroy, Client Advocate at WinAir. “Our relationship with Voyageur has helped keep us grounded in what actually matters, and that’s played a big role in how our software has developed. Working closely with partners like Voyageur has helped ensure we stay relevant in a changing industry,” he adds.
For both organizations, this relationship represents more than longevity. It reflects a shared trajectory of growth, adaptability, and mutual success. After 20 years, the technology matters – but it’s the relationship behind it that continues to make the difference.
